SCHOOL HISTORY

St John's Residential School Kollam was founded in 1976 with the object of providing quality education. 

This is a co-educational English Medium school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi. The Council has received statutory recognition from the Government of India as one of the main All Indian School Examination bodies. 

The school, which started functioning in 1976, shifted to its present campus in 01/June/1979. St John's Residential School founded in 1984 and the St John's Higher Secondary School founded in 2002 is co-educational unaided English Medium schools recognized by the State Government of Kerala. 

It is in accordance with the pattern of school education followed by the State and recently accepted by the Central Government as the national pattern. From May 2019 onwards the school came under the ownership and management of the Augustinian Fathers, an ancient Religious Order in the Holy Catholic Church.
